Cooking With Quinoa - Nature's Superfood

Have you discovered the many benefits of quinoa?  Try some soon for an easy way to add fiber, protein and iron to any meal!

Quinoa has been around for centuries - dating back to the ancient Inca's. It is a true superfood - rich in complete protein, iron, fiber, and magnesium and vitamin B2.

How to cook Quinoa -

Add 1 cup of quinoa to 2 cups of water in a pot. Cook on high until the water boils. Once the water is boiled, add 1 tablespoon or two of Olive Oil (or your favorite alternative), a handful of chopped walnuts ( optional ) , and salt to flavor. Cover and let cook for 12-15 minutes. Check every few minutes and give it a good stir to make sure the quinoa does not burn. When your quinoa appears translucent and light, fluff the quinoa with a spoon or fork.

Add quinoa to sweet potatoes and spinach for a super healthy (and tasty) salad!

Or add some to your next batch of homemade chili!
